DRUMMOND – Another Lady Trojan has found her way into a Montana college with a scholarship offer.

Morgan Radtke inked her letter of intent Thursday to run for the University of Montana. The grant-in-aid agreement begins with the 2018-2019 academic year as long as Radtke registers as a fulltime student.

“I want to complete my undergrad work in Montana,” said Radtke, who will complete her senior track season this spring with the Lady Trojans. “I plan on studying premed, and have had official visits with both Carroll and the University of Montana and both have offered track scholarships. There are a lot of great academic and track programs in Montana. I chose U of M for the opportunity to compete at the D1 level, the overall cost of tuition after the academic and athletic scholarships, the opportunity to work under great leadership and coaching with Brian Schweyen and his staff, and to pursue a degree in Biology.”

Radtke has been a top performer on the track for Drummond since her freshman year, having also been a team leader in both volleyball and basketball. She was also a top student in the classroom, sporting a 4.0 GPA and a 29 composite on her ACT.

Acceptance of the scholarship offer sends Radtke to the rival of her parents alma matre. Brad and Jo Radtke attended Montana State, but are all in when it comes to their daughter and this opportunity.

“Brad and I are proud of her hard work and dedication,” said her mother Jo. “We are happy she will be close to our family and we will gladly wear Maroon and Silver to every track meet!!”

Radtke and her Drummond teammates will run this Saturday at the MCPS Invitational in Missoula.
